Growing up I listened to all the popular music that hit the radio, even if it wasn’t always appropriate. My mother would scoff at the idea of radio stations playing music that didn’t always sensor the “bad words” from their lyrics. Which is why when Kidz Bop came to stores that offered the same sound and song but with an edited version for children to listen to. Continue reading
My 6 year old son “grew up” watching Caillou. I think he loved watching Caillou learn all sorts of real life things. As a child, he could relate to a lot if not most of the situations on the cartoon. Caillou Helps Out is a 7 episode DVD that brings to light the concept of working together, and being aware of others feelings. Continue reading
I wanted to take a moment and wish a wonderful Happy Mother’s Day to all my readers who happen to be a mom! Also a Happy Mother’s Day too all the Fathers taking on the role of being a Mom and Dad. Often times when we’re asked what we’d like for Mother’s Day we all have that ideal day planned out in our head. I know that a lot of us mothers out there would love to sleep in and wake up to breakfast in bed. Some would prefer to be pampered all day at a spa with their mothers, or girlfriends. You might have your own traditions set in place that you’ve developed over the years. You might plant a spring garden with your mom, or grandma. Whatever it is you choose to do today I hope you take the time to hold your babies close and thank them for giving you the best gift of all. Having the honor of being called mom is something I wouldn’t trade for the world! While talking with my own mother today she reminded me that the Mother’s Day while my kids are young are truly the best ones. The ones where they still only see the best in you, the ones where your mistakes and failures are still easily cured and fixed with hugs and kisses. I much rather have something home made that my 6 year old son makes me than something store bought that every mother in America could receive.
So in closing, I hope you all had the Mother’s Day you wanted and can look back and cherish for years to come! I would love to know what you did on your special day, though everyday as a Mother is truly special! Please let me know what you got, or did today, I’d love to hear all about it.
Attention parents of little kids!! Did you know that sunglasses are not a children’s accessory, but their necessity! The sun can cause permanent and irreparable damage to your little ones eyes. Children’s eyes have more of a risk of having permanent damage until the age of 10. The best way to look at is like this. You wouldn’t allow your children to ride their bikes with out their protective gear, so playing outside in the sun shouldn’t be any different. I will be honest, I had no idea that the sun could cause permanent damage to my children’s eyes, and now that I do I am glad I contacted Real Kids Shades about their fabulous sunglasses! Looking for a way to make your home, or children’s room a little more you/them? How about trying to get more organized in the new year, or keep track of all your precious belongs. Kidecals gives you the freedom to do just that! Just a few weeks ago I told him I wanted to make the kids room more decorative, but because we rent I don’t know if I want to do something so permanent right now. I also told him that I’d like to get the entire family more organized. I am pretty organized myself, but getting the family on the same page I feel will help us reach our 2015 goals.
Since starting my blog I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on the content that is put into each of my reviews, or that the items I am reviewing are of requested nature. However I’d like to keep things real and also update on all of the happenings that have gone on since becoming a Products and Service Review Blogger. People might not know who I am as a person just yet, and that’s okay. I just encourage each of you to follow my blog if you’ve liked any of the previous posts, and reviews. Continue reading
