Over the last several years my husband and I have become the host for game night! While we love the traditional family/friend game nights with board games, or cards we wanted to extend our horizons and look more into outdoor games. We purchased a house in May, and have a wonderful backyard for the family and friends to visit in. We felt that an exciting outdoor game was missing from the scene so I went on a hunt for some fun and exciting games to play. I cam across Rollors and felt they would be a great way to get the family and friends up and active this summer! Continue reading
Friday nights are usually pizza night in our house hold. I personally prefer to make our own pizza rather then ordering it from our local pizza place. I know exactly what is on and in my pizza, it’s also a lot cheaper than ordering it. While I didn’t purchase this next product this time, I will be from now on when we make our own pizza at home! Family Finest asked me to review their Make-N-Bake Pizza, that can be found at your local Wal-Mart. Continue reading
I got the opportunity to review a musical CD that is set to release March 10th 2015 to most major music retailers. Dancin’ in the Kitchen is the latest work from GRAMMY award-winning musical duo Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer.
This CD is great for several reasons! The first reason that stood out to me the most was that the songs represent everyday real life experiences that families go through. Some of the experiences that are talked about are same sex marriages who families, being adopted and what the great make up of a family should be. My son, and niece both sat and listened to the CD and make some comments regarding it.
This could be a great teaching tools for parents or teachers. It really speaks to me, and my children about the diversities that make up a family. It also says that being different is okay, and totally acceptable. When they said this CD is for all families, it really is. There is something for everyone on this CD.
“To celebrate the release, Cathy & Marcy will appear at the NewSound Music booth at New York’s Javits Center as part of Toy Fair 2015. A national spring and summer “Dancin’ in the Kitchen” tour will kick off with a pre-release concert on Saturday, February 28th event at the Equality Center of the Human Rights Campaign in Washington, DC. The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Welcoming Schools program and Cathy & Marcy are partnering with each other to use music toward the common goal of welcoming all families.”

The name of this review pretty much says it all, well sort of. You’re probably thinking what the heck is a selfie stick, and why would I even want one. Well, if we’re all being honest I bet you have at one point or another taken a selfie, either by yourself or in a group. My husband so nicely pointed out that is it truly called a selfie if it’s of an entire group…. and well, I literally have no idea but whatever. Continue reading
Being a mother of a an almost 6 year old, you can imagine how important it is to have fun games at home to play. I grew up loving games, and still do. My husband and I host game nights all the time, and I am sure our son will follow right along in our footsteps. To be honest, it doesn’t seem like they come out with new board games, or card games before we get bored with the ones we have. So looking outside the box (see what I did there :-p) was what we needed to do when searching for new games for our family game nights.
