Ozeri- Green Earth Pan

This review will be well appreciated by those of you who like to cook. I know I can’t be the only one who buys a non-stick pan and out of fear still sprays it. I’ve had several situations where I’ve gone to use a non-stick pan for eggs, or grilled cheese and trusted it word and wound up with half my food stuck to the bottom of the pan. I am over the moon with this next product, for several reasons, Ozeri has created a pan that truly is nonstick that allows me the ability to enjoy all of my food, not just what’s left of it.

I was sent the Green Earth Pan by Ozeri for review and since then I’ve stopped using my other frying pans. The Green Earth Pan is one of the world’s first frying pans to achieve non-stick perfection while remaining free of PTFE, PFOA and other harmful chemicals. When PolyTertaFluoroEthylene (PTFE) is heated at high temperatures it releases toxins into your food. Green Earth Pan has a ceramic coating that prevents harmful toxins to be released into your food, or the air.

Depending on your pan size they recommend a certain amount of oi. 8″ pan size recommends 1/4 tsp, 10″ recommends a 1/2 tsp and finally the 12″ pan recommends the amount of 1 full tsp. Peanut Oil is highly recommended but I used coconut oil and it worked wonderfully. You want to make sure you wipe around the entirety of the pan to get all access oil off it. You don’t want to cause oil build up on your pan, and over time can cause food build up and weakens the non-stick factor of the pan. I did try this pan without putting oil down after the first wash and it was still one of the best non-stick pans I’ve used before! Bravo Ozeri for such an outstanding pan! I really feel like the textured bottom of the pan really helps keep food up off the bottom of the pan aiding in the perfect non-stick experience.

As you can see the bottom is super shiny, and because of that this pan heats up quicker than most pots and pans. You can use a lower temperature for cooking and still get the same cooking outcome. You want to ensure you’re using the right size flame/burner for your pan size so the flame isn’t reaching the outside edge of your pan and burning it. The Green Earth Pan is oven safe up to 356 degrees, but be sure to use a pot holder on the handle when removing it from the oven.

Cleaning and care instructions are pretty simple, just was pan out with hot soapy water and pat dry with a soft cloth. You can also let it air dry (which is usually what I do). You will want to be sure to use plastic, or wooden utensils with the pan to ensure you’re not damaging the non-stick coat on the pan. When your pan arrives it will come with a felt like insert for your pan, so that way if you have multiple pans you can stack them on top of one another without scratching the insides or the bottoms of the pans. I thought that was a fantastic touch on their part!

I can’t tell you enough how much I absolutely adore these pans! If you’re eager to try them out you can purchase them on Amazon. You have our choice between the above mentioned pan sizes. If you’d like be sure to show your support by liking Ozeri on Facebook.

As always this was provided to me for free for my 100% honest opinion and feedback. I was not given any other compensation other than the product. These thoughts are my own, and not a reflection of the companies.
