Owl WildPack by OkieDog

logoMy youngest child has been signed up to attend something here in NYS called Headstart. The easiest way to explain what it is, is by saying it’s PRE Pre-School. My daughter is 20 mos old so her “teacher” comes to our home once a week for an hour and half to play with her and to continue developing her social interaction skills and strengthen her fine and gross motor skills. Well every other Friday she will be riding the school bus to one of the local Headstart buildings where she’ll be having play groups with other children. While she’s there she doesn’t need much as they provide her with food, and diapers and all her needed items but I wanted her to have the real school feel like her older brother who is in Kindergarten. So I wanted to get her a backpack that she could carry her blanket (her comfort item for the bus ride) and her pacifier in case she wanted to nap there and back.

Okiedog is a diaper bag, and traveling bag company for both mommy & children. I was offered the opportunity to review one of their diaper bags as well as their WildPacks.I was sent the owl wildpack which I felt was perfect for Miss Raeya as we all know our love for owls. Okay well its probably just me that loves them, but she’ll learn to love them right?!

The above is the diaper bag, and the Wildpack, but for the sake of this review I will just be reviewing the Wildpack that Raeya used on Friday for her first day of school. The pack is hard, but not too hard its almost like its molded/casted with a hard cardboard. It has two zippers on it that are fairly large so easy for the little fingers to grip onto and open if she wanted too.

My daughter is about obsessed with this cute thing! She feels so sassy and grown when she wears it. After seeing her brother wear his to school everyday she knew exactly what to do with it when she saw it.

11084614_10152830774762807_1314536269_n It’s not extremely big which is okay as she doesn’t need it for a ton of things. She can literally only fit her blanket and pacifier into it. We might be able to fit a small thing of wipes and 1-2 diapers in it for emergency. You could also even use this as a lunch pack if you’re going for a walk in the park. I even thought that we could fit one outfit in there if she was going to Grandmas house for the night. However Okiedog has things specifically for all of the above scenarios. They sell suitcases and lunch pals as well.

The WildPacks have several other animal options such as Rabbit, Hippo, Dragon, Dog and Tiger. They sell for $24.95, and can be purchased right on their website. I absolutely feel this is worth that cost. My daughter is learning the real school experience but with something that she really enjoys. It’s not overly big for your little one which means you can’t over pack it and make it too heavy for their little backs. I am really excited to review their diaper bag for you guys! Raeya is still at that age that we need to carry a diaper bag everywhere we go. Stay tuned for that one in the upcoming week!
