I’d like to think I am a tech savvy person, I usually have pretty up to date devices. I have a touch screen dell windows 8 desk top, an HP laptop, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy s5. I now get to add a Kindle Fire HD6 to my collection. I feel that all these devices serve their own separate purposes so its mandatory to have every single one of them, right!?
I was given this to review, as well as a collection of books to review. The Kindle was originally made for easy on the go reading. It was away for you to carry around a library of books without the clutter and weight of each book. It does however have media functions such the Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest Apps that can be downloaded onto it.
This 6″ screen display Kindle Fire is the perfect fit for your hands. The display is more than big enough to get a clear read on your books, or to scroll your favorite social media apps. The material isn’t too smooth which helps keep the device in your hands when in use. I chose to get it in this green/yellow color to contrast my pink laptop. I am really pleased by the color, but if it’s too flashy for you then stick with the black. This particular Kindle comes with 8GB of space and costs $99.00 on Amazon!
You have a few lock screen options, but my favorite is the pin password. It keeps my little minions from just swiping the screen and getting into my books, and apps. The touch screen is pretty accurate and isn’t overly sensitive to touch, but also doesn’t require multiple taps to open apps or complete an action.
It’s hard to take a picture but the resolution quality is really clear. I love that you can adjust the brightness of the screen in case you’re in a darker or well-lit area. The higher the brightness the less battery use you’ll get out of it, so always keep that in mind when you’re using it. If you’re not using it a ton it shouldn’t be an issue but if you’re looking to spend a lot of time on it passing the time say in the car, make sure your settings are adjusted.
Below is a picture of a recipe from one of the books I reviewed on my Kindle! You’ll also see my book library!
This is the perfect in between item! It’s bigger then an average phone, but smaller then a laptop. As long as you have WiFi where you’re trying to use it I’d say this is a great product to have on hand!
As always this was provided to me for free for my 100% honest opinion and feedback. I was not given any other compensation other than the product. These thoughts are my own, and not a reflection of the companies.
