I come to you with another healthy, organic snack from Naked Edge Snacks! I was really curious to try out their Veggie-Go’s since I always look for ways to in cooperate fruits and veggies into my children’s diet in a fun way. I thought this would be a perfect way to try to do so, and with more of a variety of selection.
Above were the four flavors I was sent to review. Mountain Berry Spinach, Sweet Potato Pie, Cinnamon Spiced Beet and Carrot Ginger! I opened each one of them with my son who was really eager to try them with me. He always likes when I get the food’s to review.
We tried the Mountain Berry Spinach one first and it wasn’t that bad. It has the same texture as any other brand of fruit leathers. It was a bit hard to bite into, but it was manageable. I wouldn’t recommend these for children who don’t have the experience in chewing harder chewier foods. I liked how the berry flavor really masked the taste of the spinach and other veggies within the fruit strip. I will be honest, this is the only one that I can really say I enjoyed. Sadly for me, I didn’t even get to finish eating it because Benjamin did it for me.
The other three were just not for me. I didn’t like the taste of them, or the texture. I really wanted to like them too because I figure they are great grab and go snacks that you can take and eat anywhere. They are packed full of nutritional benefits that as a mom I look for. The Carrot Ginger had to be my least favorite one as it was REALLY spicy. I am glad Ben didn’t want to try that one. He did however eat the Cinnamon Spiced Beet which I was surprised by. So though they aren’t my favorite anytime snack, maybe they will for my son who seemed to really enjoy them.
