Real Kids Shades

logoAttention parents of little kids!! Did you know that sunglasses are not a children’s accessory, but their necessity! The sun can cause permanent and irreparable damage to your little ones eyes. Children’s eyes have more of a risk of having permanent damage until the age of 10. The best way to look at is like this. You wouldn’t allow your children to ride their bikes with out their protective gear, so playing outside in the sun shouldn’t be any different. I will be honest, I had no idea that the sun could cause permanent damage to my children’s eyes, and now that I do I am glad I contacted Real Kids Shades about their fabulous sunglasses!

I had mentioned to Benjamin that he would be getting sunglasses in the mail that he had to help me review! He was super excited to get them, but not as excited as I was to get them for his sister. A few weeks ago I had noticed that Raeya would cry in the car, and when I turned around I realized that the sun was in her face and she really didn’t like it at all. Below you’ll see my children in their Real Kid Shades and loving them!

I was sent two pair for each of them. Raeya got a pair of Baby- Explore  ($14.95 value) in lime green, and cherry pink! These are made for 0+ months.

What I love about these ones in particular is that they have a band across the back of her shades to allow a nice fit, and to ensure they don’t fall of her little face! The band also comes off and on, you just clip and unclip it from the ear piece.

Though I love these on her, she doesn’t keep them on as long as she does her other ones!

Her second pair are Toddler-Surf ($12.95 value) style in neon pink. These are made for 2yrs+.

Either way, I think she looks pretty cute, however that maybe my biased opinion :-p. More importantly I know her eyes are protected from the sun while riding in the backseat.

Benjamin was sent two really awesome pair! He loves them both so much, he can’t decide what ones to wear. One of them are way to big on his face, and its important to have the perfect fit for glasses. They made the frames wrap around so that all areas of sight are covered from the sun.

These are Benjamin’s Bolt-Flex Fit ($14.95 value) glasses! He was super happy to know that his glasses matched his Daddy’s glasses… almost perfectly.

  1. Your kids are adorable! I love the clip to keep the sunglasses on the little ones that’s really cool. And, the wrap sunglasses look great on your son. I can’t tell you how many pairs of sunglasses my little boy goes through. I’ll check these out! Thanks for sharing!
