This time of year is known as flu season! My family and I have in the past have always gotten lucky and never really got the flu. This year since my son started up school I figured getting sick was going to be inevitable at some point. Sadly the flu hit my family last week, which was a very sad time for us because Benjamin’s birthday was that week! I don’t wish the flu on anyone, specially this specific strand of it. It was absolutely awful! I am pleased to say that our Thermal-Aid Zoo Animal by Pacific-shore Holdings.helped us through this tough time. When our package arrived, Raeya was the first person to just fall in love with Jo-Jo (the Monkey). She has never really been one to attach herself to a particular stuff animal, but something about Jo-Jo just caught her attention. Her is a picture of our new soft, fuzzy friend!
Anyways, back to how Jo-Jo helped my son through his really rough week! Jo-Jo can adapt to all sorts of weather. He sometimes likes to hang out in the freezer, just waiting to cool you off. Which he did just that! When I first got Jo-Jo I wanted to put him into the freezer to test out that function. I was especially lucky I had done so because a few days after my package arrive is when Benjamin hot his fever and complained of being so hot! He needed something cold right away! I had remembered that I had put Jo-Jo in the freezer, and grabbed him. Seeing Jo-Jo for the first time (since I had put him in the freezer and forgot to show Ben) was enough to put a smile on his face. I laid Jo-Jo across Benjamin’s forehead for a few minutes before he just snuggled up with him. He eventually fell asleep holding him. (Sorry no pictures as I didn’t feel right taking pictures of my sick child, I’d never live it down)
The second time Jo-Jo came to the rescue was this week when for some reason Raeya would wake up from her nap looking and feeling extremely cold. We figured that because he room gets cold, and the sickness was still lingering that perhaps that was what was going on. Regardless of what was going on, we popped Jo-Jo into the microwave for a minute and gave him to her. She snuggled him right up, and within 30 minutes her face showed some color, and her lips didn’t seem as purple. Raeya now sleeps with Jo-Jo every night. She will carry him up and down the stairs from nap time to bedtime. She doesn’t like to be without him!
We could have managed through this flu virus just fine without Jo-Jo, but he made the situation much more tolerable. I am so glad to have him, I think anyone with little children at home needs to pick up a Thermal-Aid Zoo Animal. Don’t think a Jo-Jo will fit into your family, perhaps an Ollie, Tiny, Baxter or even a Happy will. Buy one for 14.95 + S&H (7.95) get your second one FREE!
